Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Schalk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lava Lava by Boys Noize. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schalk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wagner to the mat! Wagner manages to get full guard.
Schalk trying to control but Wagner is working from the bottom.
Schalk lands a couple of digs.
Schalk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wagner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Schalk is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Schalk lands a couple of elbows.

Schalk has gone for a leg lock! Wagner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Schalk's guard.
Schalk throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Schalk controls Wagner momentarily but Wagner frees himself.

Wagner drops back looking for a leg! Schalk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Schalk manages to kick Wagner off! Wagner jumps back into Schalk's guard.
Schalk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Schalk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wagner stopping the sweep attempt from Schalk.

Wagner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wagner looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wagner takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Schalk lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Wagner can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Schalk and Wagner drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Schalk.
