Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vanilla Ice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Wires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ice lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Ice lands the left hand.
Ice's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ice duly obliges.
Ice scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wires doesn't seem bothered though.
Ice moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ice misses with a wild combination.
Wires feints the counter takedown.
Wires tries to clinch
and Ice counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ice lands with a slapping head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ice leaves Wires with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wires fails with the takedown.
Ice is looking for a counter combo.
Ice misses with a few strikes there.
Ice thows a body kick. Wires tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ice scores with a jab. Wires acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Wires wants to clinch.
Ice is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wires closes the distance and clinches up with Ice, looking for a takedown. Wires pushes Ice against the cage but Ice circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vanilla Ice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Wires.
Ice lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ice connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Vanilla Ice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wires stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ice.
Ice scores with a kick to the body.
Ice throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ice bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Wires looks winded!
Ice dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ice connects with the punch.
Wires dodges the punch combination from Ice.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ice jabs Wires to the body, keeping him at a distance.

An inside leg kick lands from Ice.
Ice throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wires takes a kick to the side of the head.

Wires is rocked!

Wires looking to score a takedown here. Ice is defending well but Wires drives through and ends up in Ice's guard.

Ice has his feet on Wires's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Ice! Wires is out on his feet! Ice rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Wires is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Wires is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
