Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Mstislav Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Dusk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dusk has chosen AC/DC - Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov throws out a powerful jab.

Dusk has picked Volkov up - he's going for a ride! Dusk dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Dusk is trying to work for a kimura but Volkov is defending well.
Volkov tries to get to full guard but Dusk has control of the leg.

Dusk is looking to work some ground and pound but Volkov has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Volkov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dusk manages to get himself to full guard.

Dusk has his foot on Volkov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Volkov works his way back into a safe position though.
Dusk is trying to control the position but Volkov postures up.
Dusk wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Volkov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dusk works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

It looks like Drake Dusk has been cut.
Dusk takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Volkov throws a leg kick which misses Dusk's front leg but catches the back leg as Dusk tries to avoid it.

Good leg kick by Volkov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Volkov is looking to slow Dusk down with leg kicks.

Volkov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Volkov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dusk takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Volkov throws a leg kick which misses Dusk's front leg but catches the back leg as Dusk tries to avoid it.
Volkov lands a nice shot to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Volkov, right into the meat.

Dusk blocks the body kick.
Volkov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

and Dusk counters with a thumping low kick.

Dusk doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Volkov throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Volkov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Dusk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Volkov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dusk, pushing him back against the cage.
