Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Seinfeld!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Powers!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seinfeld slips under a jab.
Seinfeld tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Powers manages to circle out of the way.

Powers lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seinfeld fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powers.

Powers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Seinfeld is fending him off so far but Powers persists. Nope, Seinfeld circles away and we're back to standing.

Powers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Seinfeld napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Seinfeld pushes Powers away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Powers gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Powers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Seinfeld keeps working.

Powers is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Seinfeld knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powers on the ground.

Seinfeld has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Powers is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Seinfeld doesn't manage to clinch there - Powers circles away.
Powers throws a hook to the side of Seinfeld's head but Seinfeld sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Seinfeld throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Powers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Powers might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Seinfeld tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Seinfeld ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Powers lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Seinfeld scores with a nice right hand.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Troy Powers decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
