The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vershinin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Laurent 's hands.
Vershinin 's coach down at Sanitarium was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vershinin 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Vershinin lands a head kick!
Laurent with a poor takedown
and Vershinin counters with a thumping low kick.
Vershinin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Vershinin .
Vershinin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Vershinin lands with a nice body punch.
Laurent shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vershinin as he jumps to the side.
Vershinin appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vershinin . That's going to slow Laurent down.

Vershinin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Vershinin scores with a hook to the body. Laurent takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Vershinin lands a left and a right that send Laurent crashing to the mat, dazed. Vershinin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Laurent is rocked!

It looks like Anderson Laurent has been cut.
Laurent is breathing heavily.
Vershinin lands a nice hook to Laurent 's body. Laurent takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oh Laurent is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vershinin seems to be stalking Laurent here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Laurent drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
