DeSouza kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rose Of Sharyn. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSouza uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aces High.
Some wild striking there from Aces High.
Aces High throws out a loose jab but DeSouza uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rich Aces High seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aces High pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Aces High steps into range and cracks DeSouza with a monster punch that buckles his knees! DeSouza flops backwards and Aces High dives into his guard looking to finish!

DeSouza is rocked!

It looks like Doug DeSouza has been cut.
DeSouza can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aces High controls the pace.
Oh DeSouza is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeSouza controls Aces High momentarily but Aces High frees himself.
DeSouza seems to have got his legs back now.

DeSouza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aces High gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aces High is fighting to break DeSouza's control of his arms but DeSouza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
DeSouza wants to control but Aces High passes easily into half guard.

DeSouza is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Aces High pulls his head out easily.
Aces High seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
DeSouza is pressing down on Aces High's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
