Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julius Birch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carly Sarmiento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarmiento is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bodies. Carly Sarmiento is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julius Birch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carly Sarmiento!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarmiento gets a takedown into half guard.
Birch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sarmiento is working away from the top position though.
Sarmiento landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Birch is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sarmiento scores with a couple of nice shots.
Birch is trying to maintain the position but Sarmiento is very close to passing his half guard.
Birch gets back to full guard.
Birch has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sarmiento should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Birch has tightened it up now! Sarmiento should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A less than humble Julius Birch misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Carly Sarmiento was interviewed post fight and said 'I will be back'.
