Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Imum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Imum has chosen Candy Paint - Ken Tuck as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Ricardo Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Imum!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Imum swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie misses the shot to the body.
Good work by Imum as he checks the leg kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Imum! But no joy.
Gracie misses with a hook to the body
and Imum counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gracie is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Imum closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Imum lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Imum trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Imum postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Imum is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Imum wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Gracie is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Imum frees his head nicely. Oh but Gracie has switched to an armbar! Imum is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
