Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hit Run (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacek Brozinek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacek Brozinek will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hit Run!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jacek Brozinek!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Brozinek.

Run looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Run is trying to work for a kimura but Brozinek is defending well.

Run is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brozinek defends it well.
Run could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Brozinek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Run wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brozinek keeps working.
Brozinek tries to kick Run off but Run keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Run's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Brozinek is trying to stand back up but Run is controlling him
Run seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brozinek does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Run is really struggling to control Brozinek but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Run looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Run drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Run jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Brozinek tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Run sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brozinek's guard.
Run wants to pass to mount but Brozinek is defending the position.

Brozinek is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Run pulls his head out easily.

Brozinek actively working from the bottom here.

Run is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Brozinek wants to get back to full guard.
Brozinek pushes Run off looking to stand but Run dives back in and keeps control.
Brozinek is trying to maintain the position but Run is very close to passing his half guard.
Brozinek is looking for a sweep. Run is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Brozinek regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brozinek keeping moving, preventing Run from controlling successfully.

Brozinek in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Run tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Brozinek!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jacek Brozinek!
Jacek Brozinek decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
