Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Mclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Negro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Mclean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Calvin Negro!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Negro shoots in and bounces Mclean off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mclean wants to improve his position but instead Negro has moved into half guard.
Negro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mclean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Negro slows the pace down in half guard.
It looks like Negro is going to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Negro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mclean keeps working.

Negro seems to be working for a kimura but Mclean defends the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mclean desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Mclean is trying to maintain the position but Negro is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mclean preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Mclean wants to control but Negro is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Negro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Negro trying to pass the guard but Mclean defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Negro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mclean's guard.
Negro postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Negro looking to sit in guard and control but Mclean gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mclean landing with the ground and pound.
Mclean wants to control from the top but Negro keeps moving.
Negro controlling the position.
Negro is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mclean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Negro works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mclean accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mclean throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Negro looking to control.
Negro looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mclean puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Negro is not content to let Mclean control the position.
Mclean sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Negro defending well though.
Mclean seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Negro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mclean slips a nice elbow through Negro's hands, connecting with Negro's forehead.
Negro looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mclean scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mclean not doing much here.
Negro blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mclean.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Calvin Negro dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Negro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on Negro's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Negro tries to stand but Mclean is controlling his head.

Negro decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Negro tries to clinch but Mclean is having none of it.
Mclean wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Mclean connects with the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Negro shoots in and bounces Mclean off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Negro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mclean is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mclean has escaped and now he's on top!

Negro keeping moving, preventing Mclean from controlling successfully.
Mclean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Negro works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mclean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mclean throwing strikes from guard but Negro blocks nicely.
Mclean postures up in Negro's guard and throws a big left but Negro blocks it.
Calvin Negro has got the better of the ground game so far.

Negro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mclean distracts Negro with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mclean will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mclean decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Negro, up you get!

Mclean gets caught flat footed, as Negro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Negro is breathing heavily.
Mclean pulls Negro in close to prevent any damage.
Negro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mclean is looking to cinch up a triangle. Negro throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mclean's body to avoid the submission. Mclean has instead reached around Negro's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mclean arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Andre Mclean!
