Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Petey Flowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Moroz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Melvin Moroz enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petey Flowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Melvin Moroz!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flowers leaves Moroz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Moroz shoots for a double leg takedown but Flowers sprawls well. He's pushed Moroz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Flowers shoots in looking for a takedown. Moroz tries to sprawl out of it but Flowers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moroz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Moroz. No joy for Flowers on that attempt.
Flowers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Flowers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Flowers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moroz tries to avoid it but Flowers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moroz to the ground. Moroz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Flowers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Moroz avoids it really well and circles away.
Moroz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Flowers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moroz's waist but Moroz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flowers off to one side.
Flowers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moroz circles away quickly and effectively.
Moroz doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Moroz throws a body shot but no joy.
Moroz misses with a head kick.
Flowers tries a head kick but it misses.
Flowers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moroz as he jumps to the side.
Moroz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Flowers is fending him off so far but Moroz persists. Nope, Flowers circles away and we're back to standing.
Moroz shoots in but Flowers avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Flowers went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Moroz wants to clinch.

Moroz throws a sloppy head kick and Flowers moves out of range easily.
Moroz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Flowers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Moroz misses with a double jab

and Flowers moves into the clinch.
Moroz slowing the pace effectively.
The referee is keeping an eye on Flowers - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Moroz can't get the takedown.

Flowers wants to get back to striking at distance but Moroz won't allow it.

Moroz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flowers dives in for a single leg takedown but Moroz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Moroz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Flowers defends well and Moroz ends up having to push Flowers into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Moroz is defended easily by Flowers.
Flowers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Flowers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Flowers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moroz paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Moroz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Flowers is not content to let Moroz control the position.
Flowers is trying to stand up here but Moroz is controlling him well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moroz is stalling here. Flowers is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Moroz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Flowers has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Flowers moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Flowers dives in and grabs Moroz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Moroz pushes down on Flowers's head and hops out.
And Moroz tries to counter it with a takedown but Flowers pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Flowers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moroz as he jumps to the side.
Moroz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Moroz has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Flowers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moroz sprawls well initially but Flowers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Moroz tries to kick Flowers off but Flowers keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flowers is taking a breather. Moroz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Moroz wants to control but Flowers is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flowers works his foot free and advances to mount.
Moroz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flowers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Flowers is looking to stand but Moroz has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Moroz tries to hold on but Flowers pushes him away.

Flowers looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Moroz tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Petey Flowers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Flowers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Flowers controlling the pace for now.
Moroz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Flowers trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Moroz tries to lock up and control but Flowers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Flowers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Flowers postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Moroz looks a forlorn figure.
Flowers lands a couple of good shots and Moroz has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Flowers patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Flowers is working for a rear naked choke. Moroz is not defending it well and Flowers has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Moroz refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Moroz's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
