Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teodoro Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Bodahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jan Bodahl is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teodoro Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Bodahl!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter feints and as Bodahl raises his hands in defense, Hunter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hunter tries to stand but Bodahl is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter lands a couple of elbows.
Bodahl looking for a sweep. Not yet Bodahl, not yet.
Bodahl is still trying to improve position.

Bodahl throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hunter uses it to pass to side control.
Bodahl regains half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bodahl moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hunter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bodahl is pulling down on Hunter's head. It's preventing any offense from Hunter, at least for the moment.

Bodahl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hunter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bodahl wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bodahl shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hunter napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bodahl wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunter, who protects the arm well.
Hunter wants to control but Bodahl postures up.
Hunter is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Hunter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bodahl wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working.
Hunter tries to improve position but can't.

Bodahl wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hunter, who protects the arm well.

Bodahl is trying to get an arm triangle but Hunter is defending well.
Bodahl looks winded!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bodahl thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bodahl closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bodahl lands in his opponent's guard.
Hunter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bodahl seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bodahl postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hunter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hunter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hunter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bodahl controls the pace.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hunter is trying to control the position but Bodahl postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bodahl shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hunter's guard.

Hunter seems keen to control Bodahl's posture.

Bodahl is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunter is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bodahl is working for a kimura but Hunter is defending it quite comfortably.
Bodahl blocks the strikes from Hunter.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bodahl darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hunter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bodahl is working away from the top position though.

Jan Bodahl showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hunter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Hunter closes the distance and clinches.
Hunter throws a head punch that misses.
Hunter tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hunter wants a takedown.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A frustrated look appears on Hunter's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bodahl has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hunter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teodoro Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hunter is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bodahl is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hunter to the mat. Hunter regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Bodahl postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hunter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bodahl, into his guard.

Bodahl is trying to keep Hunter in close.

Bodahl is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Bodahl working for submissions but it's allowed Hunter to get to half guard.
Bodahl takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bodahl tries to roll over but Hunter keeps him under control.

Bodahl has a hand on Hunter's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hunter takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Bodahl is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jan Bodahl is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hunter looking to control but Bodahl is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bodahl is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

I think Bodahl has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
