The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Ronaldo misses.
Ronaldo tries to move into range but Chatzikomninos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Antonio Ronaldo has been cut.
Donk. Chatzikomninos catches Ronaldo right on the button with a cross.
Ronaldo cracks the inside of Chatzikomninos's front leg.
Chatzikomninos loads up on a big right hand but Ronaldo slips the punch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ronaldo! But no joy.
Chatzikomninos clinches.
Ronaldo can't find room to land a body shot as Chatzikomninos controls the action.
Chatzikomninos lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ronaldo backwards.
Chatzikomninos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chatzikomninos takes one on the button.
Chatzikomninos lands a left and a right that send Ronaldo crashing to the mat, dazed. Chatzikomninos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ronaldo is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chatzikomninos is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Ronaldo flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ronaldo is out cold! Chatzikomninos holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexei Chatzikomninos!
Our winner, Alexei Chatzikomninos, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
