Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kileki Kawike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huston Rustow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawike comes to the cage accompanied by Ms. Fat Booty - Mos Def. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Huston Rustow!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawike tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rustow swivels and escapes.
Rustow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kawike fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rustow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kawike paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rustow throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kawike.
Rustow throws a big shot that misses.
Rustow stuffs the takedown attempt from Kawike. Kawike gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kileki Kawike. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rustow throws a body kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rustow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Rustow lands a left and a right that sends Kawike crashing to the canvas! Rustow dives into mount looking to finish!
Kawike wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rustow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kawike is looking for a sweep. Rustow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rustow takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kawike tries to roll over but Rustow keeps him under control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kawike manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kawike has a closed guard, preventing Rustow from standing up.
Rustow won't allow Kawike to sweep him here.
Rustow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kawike. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kawike is trying to control the position but Rustow postures up.

Rustow postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Rustow wants to control from the top but Kawike keeps moving.

Kawike working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rustow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rustow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kawike is trying to control the position but Rustow postures up.
Rustow working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rustow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kawike is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kawike wants to improve his position but instead Rustow has moved into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kawike is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kawike fails with a takedown attempt.
Rustow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Rustow throws a right hand that Kawike ducks under and follows up with a left that Kawike also avoids with ease.

Rustow misses with a head kick.
Kileki Kawike is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rustow throws a head kick but Kawike moves out of range.
Kawike slips a jab and a cross from Rustow.

Rustow has had enough of the clinch but Kawike keeps him there for the moment.
Kawike is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rustow pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rustow swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rustow misses with an elbow strike.
Rustow prevents Kawike from breaking the clinch.
Rustow wants to break free but Kawike has control.

Rustow breaks from the clinch.
Kawike blocks a jab.
Kawike uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rustow.
Rustow misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rustow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kawike fails with a takedown attempt.
Rustow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rustow is breathing heavily.

Kawike shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rustow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kawike shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rustow pinned against the cage. Rustow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rustow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kawike circles away quickly and effectively.
Kawike will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kawike avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kawike displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rustow throws out the jab.
Rustow tries a head kick but it misses.

Kawike shoots in for a takedown but Rustow shows good takedown defense.

Rustow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Huston Rustow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

No luck for Kawike with that takedown attempt.
Kawike shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rustow but Rustow pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rustow throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rustow steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Kawike is out on his feet! Rustow sets himself and nearly takes Kawike's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Huston Rustow!
