Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Aires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Big K.R.I.T. - Country Sh*t Remix. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruno Aires!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace loads up on a big right hand but Aires slips the punch.
Aires bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Aires appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Aires looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Wallace thows a leg kick but Aires checks it
and Aires counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Aires tries a head kick but it misses.
Wallace misses with a hook. Aires ducked under it nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wallace.
Aires takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Wallace misses with a looping left.
A little feinted left hand from Aires on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Wallace looks to score with a jab to the body but Aires is just out of range.

Wallace's coach down at Cartel Muerte was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wallace's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Wallace throws out a loose jab but Aires uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wallace throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aires stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kevin Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aires thuds his shin into the meat of Wallace's side.

Aires looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Wallace!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wallace is desperately trying to improve his position but Aires has a good base and remains in mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Aires connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Aires shoots for a takedown but Wallace saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wallace lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Aires is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wallace can do to turn this around?

I was talking to Aires's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruno Aires will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

As Wallace looks to move away, Aires throws a big counter combo bu Wallace just gets out of the way.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Aires, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
