Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conor Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claire James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: angry cats talking. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a combination that misses

and Hughes counters with a shoot takedown. James fights it but they end up in guard.
James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hughes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hughes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with James, pushing him back against the cage.
Hughes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hughes has picked James up - he's going for a ride! Hughes dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
