Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kwan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saint Joan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Joan did well to prevent Silva getting side control.
Silva slows the pace down in half guard.
Silva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Joan is looking to get back to full guard here but Silva has managed to pass to side control instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Silva lands a decent elbow from side control.

Silva is working to tighten his grip on Joan's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Joan has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Joan passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
