Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Felix Feel Good!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sherman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Feel Good punching from the bottom.
Sherman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Feel Good is not content to let Sherman control the position.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Feel Good has eaten all the pies!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sherman seems to be working for a kimura but Feel Good defends the submission attempt.
Feel Good is looking to get back to full guard here but Sherman has managed to pass to side control instead.

It looks like Felix Feel Good has been cut.

Feel Good tries to keep at a distance but Sherman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sherman lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Sherman works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Sherman gets to his feet - Feel Good follows without any prompting.
Feel Good tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sherman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sherman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Feel Good manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Feel Good can do anything to dispel that myth.
Feel Good looking for a sweep. Not yet Feel Good, not yet.
Sherman wants to get up but he can't break Feel Good's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Feel Good looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Sherman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Feel Good controls Sherman momentarily but Sherman frees himself.

Feel Good is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Feel Good wants to improve his position but instead Sherman has moved into half guard.
Feel Good throws a strike from the bottom but Sherman passes into side control!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sherman wants to control but Feel Good is keeping him busy.

Feel Good tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sherman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sherman has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Feel Good has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
We've been informed that Feel Good has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Feel Good tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sherman smiles and moves away.
Mick Sherman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Feel Good.
Feel Good fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Feel Good is breathing heavily.
Feel Good fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sherman avoids it really well and circles away.

Sherman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Feel Good did well to prevent Sherman getting side control.

Feel Good is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sherman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Feel Good's head.
Feel Good has a hand on Sherman's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sherman takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Feel Good tries to improve his position but instead Sherman has taken his back!

Sherman patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Even with his hooks in, Sherman manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Feel Good tries to roll but Sherman sticks to his back.
Feel Good is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Sherman thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Feel Good feints and as Sherman raises his hands in defense, Feel Good changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sherman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Sherman pushes Feel Good off and gets back to his feet.
No luck for Feel Good with that takedown attempt.
As Feel Good tries to get set, Sherman tries to push him back and clinch up but Feel Good manages to avoid the attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sherman enables Feel Good to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sherman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sherman has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Feel Good off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Feel Good shoots in for a double leg but Sherman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sherman gets a double leg takedown into Feel Good's guard.
Feel Good looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sherman is one step ahead there.
Feel Good takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sherman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Feel Good striking off his back but it's not causing Sherman any problems.
Sherman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Feel Good keeping moving, preventing Sherman from controlling successfully.
Sherman is pushing down on Feel Good's leg trying to pass to half guard. Feel Good is fighting to maintain full guard but Sherman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sherman uses his free foot to push down on Feel Good's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Feel Good.
Feel Good is squirming around, avoiding Sherman's attempts to control the action.
Feel Good blocking the ground and pound.
Sherman thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Feel Good swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Sherman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sherman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Feel Good manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sherman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Feel Good sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sherman avoids the strikes from the bottom by Feel Good.
Feel Good is trying to strike from the bottom but Sherman has passed into full mount.
Sherman prevents Feel Good from getting the reversal.
Feel Good tries to hold on but Sherman postures up.
Sherman blocks Feel Good's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Feel Good is wriggling around trying to escape.

Sherman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Feel Good is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Feel Good tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Sherman has taken his back.
Feel Good is trying to break free.
Feel Good keeps trying to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Feel Good looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Feel Good tries to roll but Sherman sticks to his back.

Mick Sherman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sherman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
