Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasha misses with a looping left.
Jamison misses with a low kick.
Pasha tries a quick counter leg kick but Jamison is wise to it.

John Jamison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pasha looks to score with a jab to the body but Jamison is just out of range.

Pasha is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jamison defends well.

Pasha told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Jamison postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jamison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pasha tries to buck Jamison off but Jamison is having none of it.

Jamison got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pasha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jamison has managed to get both his arms back between Pasha's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jamison wants to control from the top but Pasha keeps moving.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nice uppercut lands for Jamison. That snapped Pasha's head back.
Jamison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pasha's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Jamison will probably get the nod.

Pasha will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jamison takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

John Jamison is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Pasha fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jamison has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jamison closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pasha sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Jamison working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Jamison.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jamison, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking John Jamison thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Ali Pasha had this to say: 'He was the better fighter tonight. But I will be back'.
