The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mousasi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Squattery changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mousasi tries to avoid it but Squattery manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mousasi to the ground. Mousasi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Squattery moves in looking to clinch but Mousasi pushes him off.
Squattery changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mousasi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Squattery tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mousasi controls his leg.

Squattery doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mousasi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Squattery's guard.

Squattery had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mousasi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Squattery Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mousasi's back instead.
