The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesner shoots for a takedown but SCHOOLCRAFT saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
SCHOOLCRAFT could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lesner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brock Lesner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesner loads up on a big right hand but SCHOOLCRAFT slips the punch.

Lesner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lesner lands a nice short elbow.

SCHOOLCRAFT is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lesner scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like JOEY SCHOOLCRAFT has been cut.
Lesner thows a huge punch but SCHOOLCRAFT dodges it nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lesner is nestled in close to SCHOOLCRAFT, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
