Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deamon Keeder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boris Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deamon Keeder!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas dodges the punch combination from Keeder.
Sloppy strikes from Keeder. Those never looked like landing.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes.
Thomas checks a leg kick.
Thomas tries to bum rush Keeder with a series of wild strikes but Keeder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet.
Thomas takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Deamon Keeder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Keeder misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keeder scores with a one two! Thomas had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Thomas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Keeder eats them both and turns towards Thomas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Keeder as he avoids it easily.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Keeder is defended easily by Thomas.
Thomas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Keeder swivels and escapes.

Keeder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Keeder shoots in and drives through. Thomas sprawls well.
Thomas seems to have got his legs back now.

The referee calls for Keeder to work.
Keeder drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Thomas gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Thomas effectively controlling the action here.

Keeder breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thomas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Keeder circles away.

and Keeder counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Keeder.

Keeder shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Keeder's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As Keeder tries to get set, Thomas tries to push him back and clinch up but Keeder manages to avoid the attempt.

Keeder has managed to clinch.
Thomas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Thomas is working for takedown but Keeder is calmly controlling the position for now.

Keeder gets control of Thomas's arms and successfully pulls guard. Keeder will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thomas is really struggling to control Keeder but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Keeder is looking to stand up but Thomas isn't so interested in that idea.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Keeder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thomas.
Keeder wants to counter the offense by Thomas and move into the clinch position.
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Keeder swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Thomas wants to take a breather but Keeder manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Thomas.
Keeder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thomas is looking to clinch but Keeder is avoiding it.
Keeder has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Keeder lands a nice looking kick to the body. Thomas takes a step back to recover.
Keeder swats away the attempt to clinch by Thomas.
Keeder shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Keeder tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Keeder to the ground. Keeder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
