The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Old takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Old decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Old throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Old seems to be working for a kimura but Woods defends the submission attempt.
Old wants to pass the guard but Woods is defending well.

Old wants to work for an arm triangle but Woods is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Old passes to side control.

Old is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Woods is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Old lands a few punches from side control.
Old advances nicely into full mount.
Old lands a big elbow.

Old looking for a guillotine from mount but Woods is having none of it.

Old looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Old jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Woods is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Woods and Old has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Old working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Woods looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Old! Submission of the night perhaps?

After the fight, Monster Old was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
