Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lester Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lester Hudson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hudson misses with a two punch combination.

Douglas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hudson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Douglas wants to stand but Hudson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hudson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Douglas is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Douglas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Let's hope that Douglas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Douglas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hudson pinned against the cage. Hudson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Douglas takes the fight into the clinch.

Hudson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Douglas avoids the head kick by Hudson.
Hudson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Douglas back to the cage. Hudson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Hudson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hudson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Douglas circles away quickly and effectively.

Hudson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hudson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hudson gets tackled into the cage by Douglas. Douglas maintains the clinch.

Douglas drags the fight down to the ground.
Hudson wants to stand but Douglas is controlling his posture from full guard.
Douglas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hudson is controlling him.
Douglas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Douglas shoots for a takedown but Hudson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hudson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Douglas.

Hudson's corner calls for a 1-2. Hudson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

And Douglas tries to counter it with a takedown but Hudson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hudson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Hudson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hudson throws a right hand that Douglas ducks under and follows up with a left that Douglas also avoids with ease.
Hudson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Douglas on the side of the head.
Hudson lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Douglas can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Hudson and Douglas drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Hudson.
