PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lothar Dornier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dornier has chosen Prussian March "Frei Weg" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast moves away from the strike by Dornier.
Lothar Dornier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beast checks the leg kick nicely there.
Beast throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dornier is looking to clinch but Beast is avoiding it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Beast crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dornier - the referee stops the clock and Beast gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dornier. Beast manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dornier throws a body kick that misses.

Beast bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Beast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dornier is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Beast asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dornier pushes Beast away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Beast gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dornier misses with an uppercut. Beast saw that one coming.

Beast swats away the attempt to clinch by Dornier.

Beast is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dornier is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dornier has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dornier holds on and takes a little breather.

Beast on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Dornier smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
