PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Avon Stringer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Leeroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stringer comes into the arena with The Loner blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Leeroy's choice of entrance music: Boondocks Theme Song. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 50 - 27 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Avon Stringer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 26 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Leeroy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leeroy lands with an uppercut that bounces Stringer off the cage and back into range.
Leeroy lets loose with a powerful body kick. Stringer will feel that in the morning.
Leeroy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leeroy tries a head kick but it misses.
Leeroy just misses with a punch to the body.
Stringer is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Leeroy throws an off balance right hand
and Stringer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stringer throws a low kick but it's checked well by Leeroy.
Leeroy misses with a shot to the body
and Stringer counters with a low kick, right behind Leeroy 's knee.

Leeroy lands a big uppercut and Stringer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Stringer looks OK. Leeroy waves Stringer back to his feet!

Stringer is rocked!

It looks like Avon Stringer has been cut.
Stringer has been working on his boxing with his coaches at GTi 888 in the buildup to the fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Leeroy lands a front kick.
Leeroy scores with a leg kick.
Leeroy is looking to slow Stringer down with leg kicks.
A low kick from Leeroy misses
and Stringer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Leeroy looks to land a body kick but Stringer moved away.
Leeroy connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Leeroy stuns Stringer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Leeroy is looking to chop away at Stringer's legs.
Leeroy misses with a lunging right hand
and Stringer counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Leeroy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Leeroy motions for Stringer to come forward. Leeroy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Stringer looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Stringer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stringer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Leeroy takes a step back to recover.
Leeroy feints with a jab and clips Stringer right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Stringer is sent crashing into the canvas and Leeroy leaps in for the kill! Stringer tries to get to his feet but Leeroy is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Stringer is in need of a savior and steps in!
