Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grover Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grover Haley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haley moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Haley is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jackson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Haley's guard.
Haley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jackson is looking to work some ground and pound but Haley has wrist control.

Jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson gets a takedown into half guard.
Haley is looking to improve his position.

Haley pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Haley is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

Jackson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson lands strikes from half guard.
Haley throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Haley is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Haley avoid being mounted?
Jackson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Haley's temple.
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Haley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Haley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jackson stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Jackson seems to be working for a kimura but Haley defends the submission attempt.
Haley has his hands clasped together around Jackson's back. He's all about the action.

Haley wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.

Jackson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jackson rushes Haley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Haley is looking to take this one to the mat.

Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Jackson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Haley wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Haley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson stands up from Haley's guard - Jackson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Haley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Haley is in Jackson's guard.

Haley decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into Haley's guard.

Jackson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Haley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Oh Haley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Haley will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Haley seems to have got his legs back now.

Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Haley to his feet.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Haley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jackson throws a big elbow that misses.
Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Jackson slips nicely into half guard.

Jackson escapes and gets back to his feet.

Haley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Haley is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Haley keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Haley in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Haley goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jackson prevents it.
Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Haley has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Haley was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Haley is striking but Jackson is not phased and passes to half guard.
Haley is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.
Haley wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Haley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Haley is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jackson wants to work for an arm triangle but Haley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Haley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.
Jackson is controlling the pace.
Jackson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Haley!

Jackson lands a heavy elbow.

Jackson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Haley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Haley is trying desperately to improve position.
Jackson tries to control but Haley wriggling away.
Haley wants to control but Jackson is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Haley working to try and regain half guard.
Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Haley's face.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Jackson! Haley is hurt baaadly! Jackson is firing away with more strikes - Haley is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Jackson!
