Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joaquin Herrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcio Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herrera comes into the arena with Daddy Yankee - Gasolina blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Joaquin Herrera has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Andre is looking to chop away at Herrera's legs.
Herrera throws a body shot but no joy.
Andre has taken the fight to the clinch.
Andre tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Andre pulls guard.
Herrera postures up and lands a big shot to Andre's brow.
Andre looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Herrera is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Hilo Fight lab that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Andre lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Herrera is looking to stand up but Andre isn't so interested in that idea.
Andre pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Herrera is keeping the position for now.
Andre postures up.

Herrera wants to sweep but no luck.
Andre trying to control but Herrera is working from the bottom.
Herrera wants to stand but Andre is controlling the position.
Andre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Andre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Andre pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Herrera is keeping the position for now.
Herrera is looking to stand back up but Andre counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Herrera.
Andre is working for a submission of some sort.
Andre seems to be looking for submissions.

Andre is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Herrera is just riding it out for now. Andre eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Andre is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Herrera!
Herrera manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Andre not doing much here.
Herrera is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Herrera kicks off Andre and gets to his feet.
Andre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Herrera napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Andre is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Herrera is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Herrera is looking to regain half guard here but Andre keeps moving and retains side control.
Herrera is trying to buck Andre off.
Andre working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Herrera is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Andre has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Andre has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Herrera is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Andre yanks on the arm and Herrera is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Andre.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marcio Andre!
A relieved looking Marcio Andre thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
