The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Everyday parries the strikes from Mendes easily there. Mendes is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Everyday to escape.
Mendes throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Everyday manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mendes's best efforts.
Everyday avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mendes.
Mendes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Mendes throwing shots but Everyday is blocking nicely.

Mendes tries to roll but Everyday sticks to his back.
Mendes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Everyday on the ground.
Everyday is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

The referee is taking a good look at Mendes as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Everyday!
Everyday has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Mendes's body.
