Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pika Paulo Malia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jabari Jelani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabari Jelani told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malia tests Jelani's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Jabari Jelani has been cut.
Malia scores with a decent looking hook.
Malia wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Malia ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Malia is looking to wear down Jelani with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jelani goes for a double leg but Malia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Malia continues to drive forward.

Pika Paulo Malia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jelani doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Jelani shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

That has opened up Jabari Jelani's cut even more.

The fighters circle momentarily. Malia darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jelani lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Malia has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Malia and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Malia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Malia takes a swing at Jelani's ribcage but misses.
Jelani tries to score a power double leg takedown but Malia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jelani somewhat.
Malia lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The cut above Jabari Jelani's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Jelani takes a body punch but keeps moving.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malia catches Jelani with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Malia is stalking Jelani. Jelani circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Malia, and it's lights out! Jelani really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pika Paulo Malia!
Pika Paulo Malia decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Jabari Jelani stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back !'.
