The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neves shoots in but Jon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Neves has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Neves changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Neves uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jon.
Neves wants to clinch.
Jon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Neves. Neves circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Neves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big right from Neves misses.
Jon scores with the left hand. Neves knows he should have avoided that one.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jon lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Jon breaks from the clinch.
Duncan Jon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
