The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oki cracks the inside of Blondi's front leg.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blondi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Oki for as long as he can get away with.

Blondi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blondi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Blondi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oki's waist but Oki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blondi off to one side.

That was a close round but I would say that Agapit Blondi will probably get the nod.

Oki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blondi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blondi shoots in for a takedown but Oki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Blondi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oki uses from the top position.

Oh but Blondi is tightening it up a little... Oki has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
