The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Saukko misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hika! But no joy.

Saukko cracks Hika with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hika looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Saukko finish him?

It looks like Hongi Hika has been cut.
Hika has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Saukko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Saukko attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hika is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Hika bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hika lands with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saukko clinches up against the cage.
Hika misses with a punch on the inside.
Hika swings wildly with an uppercut but Saukko uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hika manages to break the clinch.
Hika pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saukko is looking to counter the offense by Hika and move into the clinch.
Per Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saukko misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Hika makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Saukko tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hika is looking to land body kicks.
Saukko looks to land a right hand but Hika moved out of range.
A punch combination from Saukko misses.

Hika uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Saukko.
Saukko swinging wildly here.
Saukko walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hika.
Hika lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Per Saukko has been cut.
Hika lands a jab to Saukko's midsection.
Saukko closes the distance but Hika moves to the side
and Hika counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Saukko tries to clinch up but Hika circles away and keeps his distance.
Good leg kick by Hika there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hika stuns Saukko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Saukko misses with a shot to the body
and Hika makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Saukko really felt that one!
Saukko is breathing heavily.
Hika is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hika lands with a kick to the ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hika keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Saukko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hika can pounce on him.
Hika closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Saukko out cold! Saukko corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hongi Hika!
