Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Cataldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clearence Clearwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominick Cataldo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Clearence Clearwater's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Cataldo.
Clearwater uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cataldo.
Clearwater tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cataldo looks to land a right hand but Clearwater moved out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Clearwater checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Clearence Clearwater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cataldo throws a body shot but no joy.
Cataldo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Clearwater.

Clearwater closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cataldo's guard.

Cataldo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clearwater doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clearwater manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clearwater takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Clearwater has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Clearwater has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
