Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGuire is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, McGuire circles away and we're back to standing.
McGuire changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
McGuire displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGuire.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGuire sprawls well. McGuire wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

McGuire is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.

Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGuire sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
Nick Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGuire postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Gracie in real trouble here! The ref calls for Gracie to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
