The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreiro fails with a takedown attempt.
McDougal throws a series of punches but Moreiro avoids them all with ease.

Moreiro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McDougal was covering up waiting for the punch and Moreiro finishes the takedown easily into guard.
McDougal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McDougal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moreiro keeps working.
Moreiro is concentrating on defense, preventing McDougal from advancing position.
Moreiro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moreiro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McDougal is looking to regain half guard here but Moreiro keeps moving and retains side control.

McDougal takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
