Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Lee Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Go, Go Power Rangers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Lee Scott!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Scott.
Scott on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rua. Rua obviously looking to wear him down.

Rua tries to keep at a distance but Scott has taken the fight into the clinch.
Scott wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rua tries to throw a body punch but Scott avoids it by throwing Rua back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Scott.
Scott misses with a short punch on the inside.
Rua working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Rua lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Scott manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Rua looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Scott softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Rua tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Scott breaks from the clinch.
Scott misses with a few strikes there.
Scott moves in looking to clinch but Rua pushes him off.

Rua has Scott pressed against the cage, preventing Scott from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rua lands a leg kick that knocks Scott off balance momentarily.
Rua fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Scott.
Scott tries to clinch but Rua is having none of it.
Rua looks to score with a jab to the body but Scott is just out of range.
Scott avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A head kick misses from Rua.

Rua closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Scott lands a right hook to the body.

Rua throws a head kick that half lands.
Rua thumps Scott with a low kick.
Scott has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rua.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

That was a close round but I would say that Gabriel Rua will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Scott jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Rua throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Scott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rua.

Scott lands with a shot to the body.
Rua pivots, looking for a leg kick but Scott is out of range and Rua settles back down.
Rua fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Scott checks it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rua sizes up Scott with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Rua's Muay Thai looks sharper than normal. He has obviously been working on it in the gym.

Rua uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Scott.
Rua throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Rua will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Scott stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rua.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rua lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scott has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scott and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Scott throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Scott's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Scott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rua can pounce on him.
Scott throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rua throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Scott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rua has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rua clinches up with Scott and pushes him back against the cage.
Rua misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rua throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Scott is looking to break free of the clinch but Rua has double underhooks.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Scott tests Rua's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rua takes one on the button.
Scott fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rua is out of range.
Scott getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Scott cracks Rua with a hook to the temple - Rua is on wobbly legs here! Scott swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Rua falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Scott wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jason Lee Scott!
A relieved looking Jason Lee Scott thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Gabriel Rua spoke after the fight, saying 'For Fucks sake.'.
