And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Serget!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serget fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Buxton avoids it really well and circles away.
Donk. Buxton catches Serget right on the button with a cross.


It looks like Bob Serget has been cut.
Serget uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Buxton.
Serget tries to counter with a clinch but Buxton shakes him off and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buxton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Buxton. Serget does a little dance to reset his feet.
Serget drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Buxton defends it well.
Buxton lands a really nice looking cross but Serget seems unphased.

Serget parries the strikes from Buxton easily there. Buxton is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Serget to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buxton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Serget keeps working.
Buxton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Buxton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Buxton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Serget is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Serget is looking to get back to his feet here but Buxton is keeping cool and he's managed to take Serget's back.

Buxton is persistently looking for the submission but Serget is defending it well.

That has opened up Bob Serget's cut even more.

Buxton is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Serget has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daron Buxton will probably get the nod.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Buxton is on top in guard.

Daron Buxton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Buxton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Serget swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Buxton lands a nice shot that snaps Serget's head back.
