Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vito Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen What You Know as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vito Corleone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bubba Walker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker shoots for a double leg takedown but Corleone sprawls well. He's pushed Walker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Corleone throws a nice looking combination but Walker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Corleone is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Corleone circles away and we're back to standing.
Corleone attempts a counter takedown but Walker avoids it well and moves away.
Corleone works Walker's body with a nice hook.
Walker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vito Corleone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba Walker.

Corleone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Walker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Corleone tries to advance to mount but can't.
Corleone in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Walker tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Corleone just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Corleone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Walker is trying to get back to his feet but Corleone has full control of the position and if anything, Walker has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Corleone is landing with strikes from the back.

Corleone biding his time, looking for the opening.
Will Corleone go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Walker has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Corleone.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corleone really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Walker.

Walker defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Corleone's arms.
Corleone lands a shot to the body.
Corleone thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Walker is trying to stand back up.

Corleone lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Corleone landing with strikes.
Walker felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Corleone throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Corleone controls the action.
Corleone has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker covering up well under a series of strikes from Corleone.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Walker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corleone circles away quickly and effectively.
Walker on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Walker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Corleone sprawls well. Corleone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walker gets slowly back to his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Corleone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Corleone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Corleone throwing a counter right hand but Walker manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Walker shoots in looking for a takedown. Corleone tries to sprawl out of it but Walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corleone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Corleone tries to counter with a takedown but Walker is quick to defend against it.
Vito Corleone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba Walker.

Walker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Corleone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Walker misses with a two punch combination.
Corleone throws a big counter combination but Walker scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Corleone tries to keep at a distance but Walker has taken the fight into the clinch.

Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corleone.
Walker with the counter takedown but Corleone avoids it easily.
Corleone fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walker moves out of range as Corleone strikes.
Bubba Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Corleone.
Walker keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Walker shoots in for a takedown but Corleone shows good takedown defense.
Corleone throwing a counter right hand but Walker manages to avoid it.
Walker dives in and grabs Corleone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Corleone pushes down on Walker's head and hops out.
Corleone swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Corleone.

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
Walker is working for takedown but Corleone is calmly controlling the position for now.

Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walker dives in for a single leg takedown but Corleone sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Corleone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walker can do to turn this around?
Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corleone.
Vito Corleone is winning the standup battle so far.
Corleone misses with a straight left.
The fight stays on the outside here - Walker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Walker takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Corleone slaps away a takedown attempt from Walker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Corleone lands a head shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Walker gets a clinch.

Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Walker or perhaps it was just good defense by Corleone, which made it look bad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vito Corleone dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Walker closes the distance and clinches up with Corleone, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes Corleone against the cage but Corleone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Walker shoots in but Corleone avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Walker fails with the takedown.
An attempted straight right counter from Corleone misses the target.
Vito Corleone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba Walker.
Corleone thows a left - swing and a miss!

Corleone gets a double leg takedown into Walker's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Walker has momentary wrist control but Corleone slips an elbow through the middle.
Corleone postures up in Walker's guard and throws a big left but Walker blocks it.

Corleone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Corleone tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard.
Corleone throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corleone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Corleone wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving.
Corleone passes Walker's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Walker taking some punishment here, with Corleone in his half guard.
Corleone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Corleone perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Corleone winds up and cracks Walker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Corleone slips a nice elbow through Walker's hands, connecting with Walker's forehead.
Walker is staying active underneath Corleone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Corleone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Corleone wants to pass the guard but Walker is defending well.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Corleone perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Walker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Corleone but Corleone pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Walker misses with the combination.
Walker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Corleone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walker somewhat.
Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Corleone stuffs the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Corleone looks to score with a jab to the body but Walker is just out of range.
Walker shoots in for a takedown but Corleone shows good takedown defense.

Corleone bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Walker stops Corleone from passing to mount.
Corleone is putting a hurting on Walker here, landing some big shots from side control.
Bubba Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Corleone has hold of Walker's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Walker tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Corleone cranks the arm and Walker screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Walker, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Vito Corleone!
Vito Corleone was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
The defeated Bubba Walker had this to say: 'I have to go back watch the film and see what I can improve '.
