Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Cousteau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saracen Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cousteau's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea - The Monster Attacks . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Smith.
Cousteau takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Cousteau.
Cousteau misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming.
Smith shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cousteau looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.
Smith throws a poor cross that misses
and Cousteau makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Smith really felt that one!
Cousteau shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cousteau's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smith connects with a crisp jab.
Cousteau tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cousteau's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cousteau scrambles back to his feet.

Cousteau throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Cousteau sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.

Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cousteau can pounce on him.

Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into Cousteau's guard.
Cousteau has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.

Cousteau takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Cousteau is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cousteau looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
