The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman shoots in but Abbott avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Plouman ducks under a wild hook from Abbott.
Plouman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abbott as he avoids it easily.
Abbott only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Plouman circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chael Plouman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That kick from Abbott tenderised Plouman's leg. Plouman is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Plouman drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Plouman seems to have locked his on tight now - Abbott screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Plouman, as he picks up the win!
