The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sakeer wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith throws a big counter combination but Sakeer scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Sakeer.
A chopping leg kick lands by Smith.
Smith swinging wildly here.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sakeer. Sakeer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Smith misses with a body kick.
Smith scores with a jab to the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakeer moves out of range as Smith throws a body kick.
Sakeer wants to counter the offense by Smith and move into the clinch position.
Sakeer shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sakeer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sakeer closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Smith lands a glancing blow to the side of Sakeer's head.
Sakeer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.

Smith pounces like a tiger and cracks Sakeer with a vicious hook! Sakeer is down but not out! Smith follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
