The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardwood misses with a combination
and Johns counters with a nice body kick.
Johns shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hardwood keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hardwood slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hardwood managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardwood is looking to cinch up a triangle. Johns throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hardwood's body to avoid the submission. Hardwood has instead reached around Johns's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hardwood arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
