Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Christoper Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alessio Mattias!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mattias fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Reed is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mattias.
Mattias is looking to clinch.
Reed is looking to counter the offense by Mattias and move into the clinch.
Mattias pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Reed throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Mattias looking to score a takedown here. Reed is defending well but Mattias drives through and ends up in Reed's guard.
Reed looking for a sweep. Not yet Reed, not yet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Reed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Mattias pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Reed throws a big counter combination but Mattias scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Mattias tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reed paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Reed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mattias.
Mattias tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reed seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Mattias decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Reed wants to improve his position but Mattias is controlling well.
Reed is working hard here to advance position.

Mattias closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mattias looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reed is looking to counter the offense by Mattias and move into the clinch.
A nice combination there by Reed.

That was a close second round but I would say that Christoper Reed will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Reed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mattias closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mattias lands in his opponent's guard.

Reed tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mattias wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A lull in the action here.
Mattias has control of an arm but Reed manages to advance to Mattias's back!
Mattias has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Mattias manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Mattias.

Alessio Mattias comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mattias has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
