Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Garry Dupuis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Ericson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dupuis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rockstar (Remix) by N.E.R.D. Ericson has chosen Face the Pain- Stemme as his entrance music. Garry Dupuis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Garry Dupuis!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kris Ericson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupuis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dupuis just misses with a punch to the body.
Dupuis moves out of range as Ericson strikes.
Dupuis throws a series of punches but Ericson moves out of range.
Dupuis throws a body kick that misses.
Dupuis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ericson.
Dupuis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dupuis thuds his shin into the meat of Ericson's side.
Ericson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dupuis can pounce on him.
Dupuis moves in looking to clinch but Ericson pushes him off.
Dupuis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Kris Ericson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dupuis throws a series of punches but Ericson avoids them all with ease.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dupuis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dupuis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ericson gets back to half guard.

Dupuis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Dupuis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ericson for as long as he can get away with.

Dupuis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Ericson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Dupuis is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Dupuis gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Dupuis gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Dupuis apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Dupuis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ericson backs up against the cage.

Dupuis feints and as Ericson raises his hands in defense, Dupuis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dupuis feints and then cracks Ericson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ericson down.

Dupuis is pushing down on Ericson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ericson is fighting to maintain full guard but Dupuis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dupuis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ericson.
Ericson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Dupuis closes the distance and pushes Ericson back into the cage.
Ericson has had enough of the clinch but Dupuis keeps him there for the moment.

Dupuis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ericson throws a series of punches but Dupuis moves out of range.
Dupuis lands with a straight right. Ericson didn't see that one coming.
Garry Dupuis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ericson takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Dupuis rushes Ericson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Dupuis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ericson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
