Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dougie Flutie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Muntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson Muntz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dougie Flutie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nelson Muntz!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flutie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Muntz as he jumps to the side.
No joy there for Muntz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking cross lands there for Flutie.


It looks like Nelson Muntz has been cut.
Flutie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Muntz was well out of range. Poor timing from Flutie.

Flutie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Flutie is working for a kimura but Muntz is defending it quite comfortably.

Flutie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Flutie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Flutie is working for a submission of some sort.
Muntz looks like he's trying to stand up.

Muntz wants to improve his position but Flutie is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Muntz misses with a shot to the body

and Flutie counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Muntz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Muntz managing to control the position.
Flutie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Muntz is keeping the position for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Muntz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Muntz wants to stand up but Flutie is controlling him.

Flutie drops back looking for a leg! Muntz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Muntz manages to kick Flutie off! Flutie jumps back into Muntz's guard.
Flutie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Muntz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dougie Flutie dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nelson Muntz's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Flutie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Muntz's waist but Muntz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flutie off to one side.
Muntz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Dougie Flutie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flutie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jab, jab by Flutie - just one landing.
Flutie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Muntz tries to avoid it but Flutie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Muntz to the ground. Muntz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dougie Flutie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flutie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flutie cracks a nice hook into Muntz's ribs.
Flutie misses with a looping right.
Flutie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Muntz circles away.
Flutie ducks straight into an uppercut from Muntz and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Flutie maanges to regain guard straight away.


Flutie is rocked!


It looks like Dougie Flutie has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Muntz gets to his feet - Flutie follows without any prompting.
Oh Flutie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nelson Muntz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Muntz drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Flutie's head, knocking him out cold! Muntz is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nelson Muntz!
