The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barkley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Safra circles away.
Barkley closes the distance and clinches up with Safra, looking for a takedown. Barkley pushes Safra against the cage but Safra circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Barkley tries to keep at a distance but Safra has taken the fight into the clinch.

Barkley gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Safra regains guard.

Barkley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barkley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Safra throws a strike but Barkley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Barkley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Safra swivels though and keeps the full guard.
