Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cadan Ness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cadan Ness will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cadan Ness!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ness with a nice cross.
Williams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ness sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A jab from Ness finds it's way through Williams's defenses.
Ness tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Williams paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jab by Ness.
Williams takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Williams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ness sprawls well initially but Williams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Williams is trying to control. Ness wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Williams throwing shots but Ness is blocking nicely.
Ness looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Williams stands up from half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ness cracks Williams with a good jab.
Ness scores with a jab to the body.

Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ness is trying to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The strikes coming from Williams are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Ness struggling a bit here.
Williams fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Williams misses with the ground and pound.
Ness is holding Williams down, trying to stall.
Williams could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ness is looking to regain half guard here but Williams keeps moving and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ness regains half guard.
Ness makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ness.

Ness looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.

Ness wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Williams might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ness is continuing to stall.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Ness is keeping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ness managing to control the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Ness pushes a forearm under Williams's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Williams is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cadan Ness!
After winning the bout, Cadan Ness thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
