Nice sprawl there from Johnson as Magomedov shoots in.
Horrible takedown attempt by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Magomedov, which made it look bad.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Magomedov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Magomedov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though.
Johnson wants to stand up but Magomedov is controlling the position.
Johnson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Magomedov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Johnson.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Magomedov shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Magomedov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Magomedov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Magomedov persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.

Alex Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Johnson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Magomedov rolls with it to try and escape but Johnson cranks on the arm and Magomedov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
