Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kali Parlsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Moroz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kali Parlsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Melvin Moroz!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parlsh scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Parlsh tries for a kimura but Moroz is defending well.
Parlsh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moroz keeps working.

Moroz is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Parlsh is controlling him well.

Parlsh goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Moroz is on top in guard.
Parlsh is looking to stand up but Moroz isn't so interested in that idea.
Moroz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Moroz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moroz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Parlsh seems keen to control Moroz's posture.
Moroz prevents Parlsh from getting back to his feet.
Parlsh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Parlsh tries to get out of the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Parlsh trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Parlsh wants to clinch.
Moroz throws a head kick that misses.
Parlsh misses with a takedown attempt - Moroz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kali Parlsh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Moroz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Parlsh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moroz's waist but Moroz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parlsh off to one side.

Parlsh is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moroz misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kali Parlsh dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Parlsh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moroz as he jumps to the side.

Moroz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moroz lands in his opponent's guard.

Moroz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Parlsh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Parlsh has escaped and now he's on top!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kali Parlsh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Moroz has momentary wrist control but Parlsh slips an elbow through the middle.

Parlsh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
